Flower Power: Here Comes Everybody

We are going to prove that music can change the world we live in. Thanks for Oxjam, the UK biggest music festival, for giving us the opportunity to make it happens.

Our events will be running from mid September to the end of October 2010. These music events aim to raise money to help those kids who are less fortunate than us; helping them to have better educational resources. The first £450 we make will contribute to Oxjam campaign to build libraries for African children. If we can make £450 more, we will donate it to the Blind School in Thailand, to help make Braille books. If we can raise more than that, hopefully :) we will give it to Oxfam General Funds to help fight poverty and suffering where needed in the future. We need your support to make it happen.

There will be live music from cool artists/bands, fantastic music and a DJ set- let us entertain you! There will also be other fun things and games at the events. All of us are volunteer for this project. Please come and join us-have your photo sketched, while enjoying good music and meeting like minded people. All just for a few quid, though we wouldn't mind if you would like give us more : D

You might fancy playing music with us  (please let us know if you do). Or you might be interested to sponsor our artists, as we are going around London town for an old school busking tour as well.

Our Flower Power logo is created by Kaha Abd, a young and talented graphic designer who is taking on freelance work such as design CD covers, posters, booklets and websites.
You can get in touch with her by leaving your comments or details on this blog.

We have a professional photographer Chris Lawrence who is volunteer his time and skill for our project. He will be there taking photos at our gigs. If you ever need a photographer please visit his Flickr or leave your detail with us and we will sort you out!  flickr.com/photos/dotclp

If you are interested in helping us at the venue please get in touch. We are looking for people to help us run the night, taking photos and video or simply share our profile with your friend and come along to our gig.
That would be a massive help already!!

More info about dates and venues will be posted here, so please make sure you keep up to date :)

Thanxx

Love, peace and happiness for all
